Watching Pokémon on Saturday mornings as a kid
Twenty-five years and three days later, reality takes a tip from fiction and charts “Weird Al” Yankovic’s new album Mandatory Fun at number one, with over 100,000 sales during it’s first week. In his 31 year long career, with 14 studio albums to his name, this is the first time he’s hit the top- and the first comedy album by ANY artist to hit #1 since 1960! Congratulations, Al!
I now have 151 followers.
That’s as many followers as there are generation 1 Pokémon.
You’re all my gen. 1’s and I love yo buns. Thank you!

I love Weird Al, and yes, he’s a genius, he’s funny, he’s smart. But I really saw in this video (and others like it) just how internally peaceful he must be. Stuart Varney is a jerk, but Al just goes with it, happily, peacefully, perfectly. And, you know that’s just the way he is. It’s not an act. He’s not going back to the green room cursing under his breath, yelling at his manager. He is just perfectly himself, having a genuinely good time. I am loving this one-video-a-day marketing thing he is doing, and he makes me laugh, but I seriously think he is a role model spiritually. His effortless comfort and ceaselessly positive attitude is definitely one to emulate (not to mention that “aging backward” thing he seems to be doing). I am so glad I live in a world where Weird Al exists. The world is a good place.
Teaser WIP of the film I’m working on!
A fan animated version of Kesha’s song “Die Young”
playing around in After Effects was fun, and I actually have quite a bit more animated, but I think it’ll be a while ‘til I show the rest of that attached too the music.
